Welcome! I am Associate Professor of Marketing at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. I study consumer behavior and am interested in people's intuitions about how the world works, or what is referred to as their lay theories. I explore how accurate these lay theories are, how they affect people's decision making, and how they shape satisfaction after consumption.
My interest in lay theories spans multiple substantive domains, including:
1. health decision making
2. aesthetics
3. effort and leisure
4. physical disability and inclusive environments
5. gender and discrimination
